Bamboo charcoal soaps are commonly used to remove dirt and debris from your skin. Bamboo charcoal's adsorptive power absorbs sebum and old keratin that has clogged pores and cleans them away. Bamboo charcoal's moisturizing power and mineral components moisturize the skin, leaving it moist and smooth.
However, if your soap is too harsh, it can take away too much oil from your skin, cause more acne in people who are already prone to it and excessive tightness and dryness by reducing the ability of the skin proteins to hold water.
The special process to create the bamboo charcoal included in this soap, however, makes sure to remove the excess oil from your face (especially from your T zone), but leaving your skin bright and moist.
To create this soap, Tiger bamboo is baked by skilled Japanese craftsman in a kiln dedicated to bamboo charcoal, which is an improved old-fashioned clay kiln made from Moso bamboo produced in Japan in Shikoku as well as Kochi prefectures.
The high-quality domestic Moso bamboo used as a raw material for this bamboo charcoal soap does not use any chemicals, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and it's cut only when it reaches full maturity.
Originally from China, Moso Bamboo has quickly spread in Japan thanks to its quick growth: it takes only three months for the Moso Bamboo to grow from bamboo shoots to its full height. Its tremendous growth speed makes Bamboo a sustainable natural resource that is unmatched by other types of woods.

1. Use as face-wash soap
Use lukewarm water to create a creamy lather in your clean hands.
Gently massage the lather over your face using circular motions with your fingers.
Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Dermatologically tested on sensitive skin.
- Rinse your face with cold or lukewarm water to remove dust and dirt from your skin. Keeping your skin wet reduces friction during face washing.
- With well-washed hands, add water and create a light and fluffy leather. Even if the soap is black, the foam will be pleasantly white and soft.
- Start washing gently from the forehead, nose, and chin. Be careful not to let your fingers touch your skin, as if you were cushioning the foam between your hands and your skin.
- Rinse with water or lukewarm water, remember to carefully rinse also the hairline, temples and neck.
- Remove water by pressing a clean towel against your face. Be careful not to rub your face with a towel.
2. Use as body soap
This soap is also great to was your entire body and since it does not use any fragrances or preservatives that could irritate the skin, this bamboo charcoal soap can be used also on kids' more sensitive skin.
3. Use as deodorant soap
Thanks to the bamboo's adsorbtion properties, this bamboo charcoal soap is great to get rid of cooking smells from your hands.
